WHAT IS THE EPISODES OF CARE PROGRAM?

It’s a new benefit included in your health plan that connects you with top specialists for specific procedures at a lower cost. Think of it as getting premium healthcare while saving money – the best doctors often charge less because they’re more efficient and have better outcomes.

Do I have to use this program?

No, it’s completely optional. You can still use your regular health benefits as usual. However, when your doctor recommends you see a specialist for a qualifying procedure, calling Holista first could save you thousands of dollars.

How do I know if my procedure qualifies?

Simply call 855-284-6216 when your doctor refers you to a specialist. Our team will tell you immediately if your procedure is available as an Episode of Care.

What if I need emergency care?

Episodes of Care are for planned, non-emergency procedures. If you have a medical emergency, go to the nearest emergency room as you normally would.

Will I get the same quality of care?

Actually, you’ll likely get better care! We work with top specialists who are leaders in their fields. These doctors need less anesthesia, fewer nurses, and less operating room time because of their expertise – which is why they can offer lower prices.

Will I have support during my care?

Yes! You’ll be assigned a dedicated Holista Care Coordinator who guides you through every step. Plus, registered nurses are available 8am CT to 5pm CT for any questions you might have.

Can I choose my own doctor?

You’ll work with your Care Coordinator to select from our network of top-quality specialists. We’ll help you find the right provider based on your needs, location preferences, and the type of procedure.

How is this different from my regular insurance?

This works alongside your regular insurance but gives you access to bundled pricing with no surprise bills. Instead of separate charges from the hospital, surgeon, anesthesiologist, etc., you get one transparent price for everything.

What happens after my procedure?

Your Care Coordinator stays with you through recovery, and you’ll have access to your online patient portal to track your care plan, view educational materials, and get ongoing support.

Is there any cost to enroll in this benefit?

No additional cost! This is included as part of your health plan benefits.
